Cecilia Helen Trees

Cecilia Helen Trees died peacefully at home under the care of Hospice Savannah on August 1, 2025.  She was born on November 15, 1927, in Frackville, Pennsylvania. Cecilia was the daughter of Mr. Joseph Kituskie and Mariana Wazacha Kituskie. She graduated from Gilberton Burrough High School in 1945.

Cecilia met her husband William Trees in Lynchburg, Virginia, and married him in 1957.  Shortly after their marriage, Cele and Bill moved to Savannah, Georgia.  In the early years of their marriage, Cele devoted her time to raising her children.  Later, Cele volunteered in the library at Blessed Sacrament School, where she subsequently was employed as the school secretary for a number of years. Upon retirement, Cele had time to devote to travel, playing cards and spending time being the best Mema/MeMe to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cele was predeceased by her husband William Ernest Trees who passed away in 2009. She is survived by her children Mary Dimmick (Walter), Anne Trees, Bill Trees (Debbie), Susan Beck (Tim) and Helen Bass (Chris); her grandchildren Stephen Dimmick (Laura), Katie Rusden (Ryan), Shannon Temmen (Scott), Chris Trees, Adam Beck, Ryan Beck (Abby), Jacob Bass and Molly Bass; and great grandchildren Ray Dimmick, Connor, Riley and Maddie Temmen, and Adaline Beck.

Cele was a devout Catholic and while she was able, she attended daily Mass and enjoyed her Wednesday faith sharing group. She was an avid bridge player but enjoyed playing many card games with friends and family.  Cele loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family and she will be remembered with love and affection by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rosary at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Wednesday, August 6,2025 at Blessed Sacrament Church with interment following at Catholic Cemetery.

Ms. "Cele" and Mr. Bill came to Savannah about the same time my family did. There was a group of us that came to Savannah about the same time and the dads all worked at Cyanamid. I remember the parents getting together to play bridge and the kids all playing together. Ms. Cele was one of the sweetest ladies in the world and I remember her and Mr. Bill very well. Prayers of peace and comfort for you all.
